I've Always Loved Ellen....

Except, sometimes don't you just wish they'd really give them hell?  I think she did good enough...what a real bastard John McCain is....

Whatever Happend to Baby Jane?

This democratic primary race has gone on way too long! I'm really ready for it to end, and it by all accounts, it appears to be Mr. Obama's race to lose. He's been a great candidate, and he is someone I would vote for in the general election.

Don't get me wrong, I am still a very strong Hillary supporter and will always be...but at this point, I wonder how it's all going to end. Florida/Michigan, the VP slot, I'm just not sure, but I hope it all turns out well, and we bring the democratic party back together. After all, these two candidates have amassed the largest turnout of democrats in the history of this process. Both candidates have gotten about 17 million votes each, and that is stunning.

I do have one question though, and I've been wondering it for some time...and honestly, I'm not trying to be tacky or anything. I just wonder whatever happened to Reverend Jeremiah Wright? Where did he go? Do you think he is in Dick Cheney's bunker somewhere in the Midwest? Did he get sent to the plant cave in the Norwegian Island of Spitsbergen? Where did he go?

It seemed like after his last parade of garbage in DC he vanished. Gone... no words, no trace. Do you think Barack Obama and his Chicago mafia connections did something sneaky to him?

I just don't know...and I guess it doesn't really matter, but it was such a big deal to the media, and then he just up and vanished in thin air.

Funny how that works, huh? Regardless, I'm hoping for an Obama/Clinton ticket. I've wanted that from the start (just the other way around). We'll see...

Hillary, Hillary, Hillary, The Real Comeback Kid!

I'm continually impressed at what an amazing candidate Hillary is, and what an amazing president she would be.  I like Barack, but if Hillary were anyone else, they'd be out of the race at this point.  My girl's got it!

Go Hillary!  Please go to HillaryClinton.com and donate now.

God Bless the "Ben.S.A."

Congratulations Ben!  Our dear friend and trainer Ben became a US citizen on Friday, April 18th, and this past Friday night, our friends George and Bruce hosted an amazing party for our Ben to celebrate his American citizenship (the empire state building from George's apartment).

It was awesome, and one of the only times I can eat a chicken wing in front of my trainer and not feel guilty.  George created a great party, complete with fried chicken, buffalo wings, hamburgers, pigs in a blanket, potato and macaroni salad, Frito's, chips and dip, watermelon, IT WAS AWESOME!

Everyone was decked out in our red, white and blue attire, and donning Hillary Clinton pins.  By the end of the night, I somehow had red icing all over my white Ben Sherman top.  Damn!

Here are some party photos.  Enjoy Ben, love you!

The Biggest Loser

It's so hard getting through this period of the year. Winter is a memory, and spring is in the air everywhere you look around and I'm about two weeks behind where I need to be in terms of losing weight to be ready for spring. I want to be the next biggest loser.

Here is an example:

Me last August at Fire Island:
Me on President's Day weekend in NYC:

See?

So far, I've lost about 4 or 5 lbs, I need to lose a few more, maybe 5 or 6 more to be at the right weight. Luckily, I've got Ben, my fabulous and sexy Israeli trainer...who by the way becomes an American this Friday, after 15 years. Yay, Ben!

The Gay Community and this Election

So, I've been trying to tone down a little of my coverage on the election, realizing that I have frequent visits by supporters of Obama, and McCain (yes, McCain), and in light that my blog is about a lot of things...not just politics. To be honest, it's been nice to talk about other things for a while.

However, I've been talking to a lot of my gay friends recently (both Obama and Hillary supporters) about these black church's and the gay community, and Obama's lack of response to it all. While I will be the first to say, THERE IS NO CANDIDATE THAT REPRENTS THE GAY COMMUNITY THE WAY THAT WE DESERVE TO BE REPRESENTED, we have to make a choice between which candidate we think will do the most for us as a community. I know Obama has an LGBT page on his website, which is great, Hillary does not. However, I know from Hillary being a Senator in NY state, she has done so much for the gay community, and is a big supporter of gay rights.

Today, on Politico.com there was an interesting story that echoed the sentiments of some recent conversations I've had with both Obama and Hillary supporters.

Grab a bottle, hunker down and pray for daylight...

It's time for MISS USA!

So, as many of you know, and are anxiously awaiting..........the Miss USA Pageant is scheduled for this Friday evening, live from Vegas.  It starts at 9pm est. and is carried on NBC.

The Miss USA/Universe/Teen USA pageants have drawn a lot of attention over the past several years starting with former Miss USA being sent to rehab for being a coke whore, bi-sexual party girl...making out with Miss Teen USA in their Trump Place apartment at Columbus Circle.  Fun!

Then, Rachel Smith, the reigning Miss USA, in the Miss Universe Pageant slipped and busted her ass during the evening gown competition last year...nice.

Then on Miss Teen USA last August, there was the unfortunate interview competition where a contestant was asked about maps, or something, such as.  Yikes...

So, my point is, these pageants are crazy fun to watch, and throw in Donny and Marie as hosts this year and you've got a Friday night party!  Grab a bottle, hunker down and pray for daylight people...we're choosing a beauty queen.

Well, in case you don't feel like perusing the website, I've taken a quick look and pulled some photos of some of my favorites...although, my bet is for Ms. South Carolina to take top honors.
Here are my Top 5 favorites (in no particular order).

Wow, Thank you so much!

"First, when there's nothing but a slow glowing dream, that your fear seems to hide deep inside your mind. All alone I have cried silent tears full of pride, in a world made of steel, made of stone.
Well I hear the music, close my eyes, feel the rhythm, wrap around, take a hold of my heart.

What a feeling, bein's believin', I can't have it all, now I'm dancin' for my life! Take your passion, and make it happen, pictures come alive, you can dance right through your life!!!!!"

So many wonderful people to thank for this shared victory. With mere votes separating us all, I would hardly call myself the winner, and would more like to share this with everyone else.

First, Brett and Kelly and CB, your dances not only move me, they inspire me. I think this should be a celebration of dance instead of a competition. Kelly, all my friends now have a crush on your nipples. CB, I want some dance lessons...will you teach me some moves that I can incorporate into my routine?

My Danny, my beautiful Danny. Thanks for joining me in this crazy adventure! You rock so hard, and I wouldn't have won without you.

Our dance coach, Mary Susan Kent. Your lesbian prayer chain worked miracles...so thank you.

Thanks to all friends and family for playing! Now, let the dance continue!

Show Us Some Love!

Ok, so, we did it together!  Go to Brett's blog and vote your heart (which I'm sure) will be for us!  My Danny put his heart into this dance, don't let him down!

Shit Fire and Save Matches

Brett is having another jiggy dance, and of course, he purposely schedules it while I'm out of town and don't have solid time to prepare for the dance.  As you all remember last time, I did pretty well in the voting, a lot better than Brett.  I'm competing but, with little preparation.

Of course, he knows I'm in Dallas and can't prepare as well, and gives us until later tonight to do our dance.  Oh well...I'm going to do my best, but in the meantime, just think of this ya'll~

Dallas and Everything After

Ugh! How hard is it to be away from the person you love most in the world? Well, as you all know, I had to come to Dallas/Forth Worth on a very quick business trip...and I had a great time, but I'm oh, so ready to back to New York Fucking City.

Highlights of my trip to Dallas:

First, a beautiful bouquet of hot pink tulips from my hubby waiting in my room. Sweetest thing ever!

Second, I got to meet Mark finally, after missing the NYC event over the past couple of years. He's a real angel...and made my last night in Dallas fun!
Third, 4400 kids from South Dallas getting to see a live theatre production compliments of Target, (the reason for my trip)! They were so sweet.

Forth, the Nasher Sculpture Center. If you live in Dallas there is no reason you shouldn't be supporting this amazing art center as a member. Amazing.

Finally, my hotel, the Adolphus. AMAZING!
Anyway, I'm so ready to fly home tomorrow, and see my husband who I miss dearly. We're going to Graffiti tomorrow night for dinner. Can't wait for date night!

Birthday's --Blogday's -- and All Things Dallas

I'm exhausted!  What a great and crazy week this has been!  It started on Wednesday, with the arrival of a busy week of art fairs in NYC.  There were, I think 10 art fairs, in different parts of the city, and lots and lots going on.

We have a wonderful group of friends that live in North Carolina, who also happen to be serious art collectors.  So, we've had a busy week of plans with them that have included dinners, and parties...just a lot of fun.
Then, yesterday was my dear friend Cindy's Birthday!  He's just trucking on up there in age,  but getting oh, so much more graceful and beautiful as he ages.  He's like a ghastly, stinky cheese. He's  ripe, and colorful, and a wee bit bitter, but oh so luscious...and one you want to eat over and over again.  I should know, I've been having him at dinner parties now for over 15 years...and he is always the first one on the Carr's cracker.

Concurrently, by accident, was my two year blogday.  I love my blog, and I so enjoy the many, many people I've come to know through this blog, and those that have to come to know me.  I've had the opportunity to meet some of you in person, and others in the days to come, and still others, I hope in the future...this past two years has really done what I hoped, open my world to the many wonderful and eccentric people that inhabit it...and I crave that most of all.

Finally, on Wednesday, I head to Dallas for a very quick business trip.  Target, one of our National Sponsors is hosting the AFI Film Festival there, and one of our tours that Target sponsors is all in DFW at the time and we're together bringing over 6,500 kids from title one schools in the area to see our show...on Target!  Amazing.

Anyway, I'm excited because not only is this amazing event happening, but I finally get to meet Mark in person.  I missed his GB:NYC 4 event in NYC last May because my niece graduated, but he's been so gracious to show me some fun times in Dallas on my last night there this week.
This will do me good, because I'm going to miss my totally hot, sweet husband every second of every day that I'm gone.

Have a great week all....I'll keep you posted.

YOU SAY IT"S YOUR BLOGDAY! IT's MY BLOGDAY TOO

Happy Happy Happy Two Years of Patrick's Words!

I've had a blast over the last two years on this blog, and I want to thank every person that takes a few minutes to stop by each day!

I'll write more later because I'm hungover, but thanks for stopping by!
